Psychological Assessments

Child IQ tests, also known as cognitive assessments, are comprehensive evaluations designed to measure a child's intellectual abilities and cognitive functioning. These assessments encompass various domains such as verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, memory, processing speed, and problem-solving skills. The results obtained from these assessments can help identify children who exhibit exceptional cognitive abilities, often referred to as giftedness.
Motor Vehicle Accidents are sudden and often violent events that can result in a wide range of physical injuries. However, the psychological effects can be equally significant. Individuals involved in MVAs may experience intense fear, helplessness, and horror, leading to the development of trauma-related disorders such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Symptoms can include intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and hypervigilance.
ADHD assessments are comprehensive evaluations aimed at diagnosing and understanding Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children . These assessments involve a thorough process conducted by qualified psychologists to accurately identify and assess the symptoms and challenges associated with ADHD.
Psychoeducational assessments are comprehensive evaluations designed to gain insight into an individual's cognitive, emotional, and educational functioning. These assessments are typically conducted by experienced professionals and aim to provide a detailed understanding of a person's learning strengths, challenges, and psychological well-being. The assessments encompass a range of domains, including cognitive abilities, academic skills, emotional functioning, and overall psychological well-being.

Clinical Psychologist
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I am a Registered Psychologist and I work with individuals and families to help you heal from past traumas, improve relationships, manage stress, and enhance overall well-being. I’ve been working in the helping field for the past 15 years, and have supported people with a variety of concerns including: trauma; anxiety; depression; family challenges; burnout; stress; emotional regulation; self-esteem; and life changes. My approach to therapy is person-centred, trauma-informed and compassionate. I believe it is important to get to know someone as a whole person: who you are outside of your struggles, and what identities you hold in your relationships and interactions with the world. In our work together, we will explore what got you where you are today, while drawing on your unique strengths and resources in working towards the future you want. I am trained in a type of trauma therapy called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) that can be used to address trauma-related conditions like PTSD, as well as a variety of other concerns, including depression and anxiety. I also have training and experience in Family Therapy, which allows me to work both with individuals who are seeking more insight into the family patterns that influenced their lives, as well with families who may be looking for new ways to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and create more adaptive patterns in their relationships with each other....
